Disability Access Statement

Our park has both caravan holiday homes and touring pitches.

All caravan holiday homes are privately owned, those for sale are advertised on our website.  Each caravan holiday home pitch is capable of housing optional ramp access.  The park have extensive experience of design and construction of purpose built verandahs with any handrails and ramping requisite for disabled access.

We offer a variety of pitches with excellent views of the surrounding countryside.  All of these pitches have parking alongside the caravan.

Most touring pitches are on slightly undulating ground, some are level.  Please let us know if you require a grass pitch close to the shower block.

There is space directly in front of wardens accomodation to pull up for motorhomes or caravans for registering purposes.

There are six steps leading down to our camping pitches.  We may be able to offer an alternate pitch if this is unsuitable, please contact us directly to discuss.

The Elsan (chemical waste) and recycling areas are located at the rear entrance to the shower block close to the touring field – access is via a flat concrete path. Drinking water taps and a wheelie bin for non-recyclable waste is located at the front.

Outside taps are available at wheelchair height.

We take the safety of our customers very seriously and therefore there is a 5 mph speed limit throughout the park with clearly marked speed bumps.  The speed bumps allow access on one side to allow safe passage for wheelchairs and other mobility vehicles.

There is a low level bell at the gate to the wardens accommodation.

The public buildings are all on one level.  There is one step into the shower block, library and laundry.  There are 6 steps into the wardens accommodation.

The park itself is set on a hillside and there are slopes between the various sections.  The Park has a circular road which is approx. 1/4 of a mile, mainly level with a steep slope at either end

Assistance dogs are welcome on the park.  We provide a dog walk which is gated at either end.  The dog walk itself  is level.  There is an open, steep drop down to the river.

Reception is manned during daylight hours.  An out of hours number is available outside of these times.

As wardens live on site, someone is available at reception in case of emergencies.

Due to its’ mountainside location, mobile phone coverage is poor.  A public telephone is available 24 hours.  You are welcome to leave the site telephone number with anyone who may need to contact you and we will pass any messages on to you.

Wifi is available across the park.

There is extensive outside down lighting around the park at ground level and entrances  Dusk ‘til dawn sensors ensure the lighting comes on when required.

A noticeboard inside the tourist information room area contains up-to-date information on bus-timetables,  site rules, up-and-coming events locally, local services and brochures for local tourist attractions.

There is a bus stop outside the main park entrance which will take you into Oswestry.

The owners would be delighted to discuss your personal requirements with you  and we can also provide a large print brochure.
