Q. How long is the Park open for each year?
A. We are open from 4th February until 2nd January.
Q. What is the cost of purchasing a Holiday Home?
A. All our Holiday Homes are priced to include delivery, siting and connection; there are no hidden extras. If you purchase from elsewhere then all these costs are extra.
Q. What are the running costs?
A. The yearly running costs are payable in January. Electric is metered and billed twice a year being read in June and October. Gas is bottled so you pay as you need them Water is Included within the Site Fee. Insurance must be arranged separately.
Q. What Holiday Homes do you have for sale and what deposit do we need to secure our purchase?
A. We always have a good choice of new and Quality Pre Owned Caravans & Lodges available to view. We recommend all Holiday Homes now have double glazing and central heating. A 10% deposit will secure your Holiday Home along with pitch generally for 1 month. Deposits are non-refundable.
Q. We already have a Holiday Home or have seen one elsewhere can we bring it on to Henstent?
A. Generally, we would prefer to sell you a Caravan from our own stock, however, if we have a pitch available and are able to accommodate your Holiday Home we will (subject to quotation). We also deal with, Lloyds Caravans, Roy Kellett’s Caravans & Salop so we can supply any make or model (again, subject to quotation).
Q.Do you provide finance?
A. We recommend that any purchaser contact their own Bank or Building Society as they prove to be most competitive. We can offer Finance through Salop Leisure, Lloyds and Kellett’s.
Q. What amenities does the Park have?
A. Henstent is a small, peaceful park occupying a spectacular elevated position in the Tanat Valley on the fringe of the Berwyn mountain range, which provides a stunning backdrop and superb views. There is fishing on the river Tanat, as well as bird watching and stargazing. We have a dog walk along our river bank. laundrette and Information Centre along with a dedicated park reception. Locally there are good walks and climbing to suit all levels of fitness, crown green bowling and, for the more active, mountain-biking opportunities.
Q.Who owns Henstent?
A. The Park is a family company solely owned by Mr Dean de Gregory together with His Son Sam. Sam is responsible for the day-to-day running of the park. We are not owned by a large group; we aim to exceed your expectations and provide you with the personal touches.
Q.Can we sub-let our Holiday Home?
A. Henstent is strictly a non-letting Park, you are free to let your family and friends use your Caravan at any time.
Q.Do we Own the Land?
A.No, you don’t own the land. You are buying a luxury Holiday Home with the right to occupy a pitch of your choice Subject to your License, providing you pay the annual site fees and abide by the Parks rules
Q.Can we re-sell our Caravan on site?
A. You are entitled to sell you Caravan on Park subject to your Licence Agreement. There is a 15% + VAT transfer fee and all monies must be paid into the office.
Q.Do you accept pets?
A. Many owners bring their pets. We have a Dog Walk and endless foot paths from the park.
