Easter Holidays – Is it Too Early For Camping?

16 Mar 2022 | Henstent News

In the UK the weather is very unpredictable, especially with the changing of seasons. As a result, this can leave huge gaps in between camping trips which can be disheartening if you’re a camping enthusiast like us! As spring is finally upon us camping lovers are chomping at the bit, awaiting their first opportunity to get the tent out. But, is Easter too early?

In our opinion, no matter what the weather your camping trip is going to be great! At Henstent we are open for the season from 1st March and many other tourist attractions in the area are around this time or at the beginning of April making Easter the perfect time to get out and about for your next family camping trip.

If you’re not a resident in Wales you’ll be pleased to know that the weather has been gradually warming up and the wet weather is on the way out (although not completely). So, if you’re planning an Easter getaway we think the weather will be on your side.

Why choose a camping holiday in Easter?

Springtime in Wales is simply divine – especially at Henstent. If you haven’t been to Henstent before the camping dell has River Tanat alongside it with sheep and newborn little lambs the other side. Not only that but Henstent has a luscious park full of other wildlife including birds and plenty of blossoming spring flowers. We pride ourselves on our grounds so we can give you the best stay possible.

We mentioned before about the weather being unpredictable, so do make sure you are prepared just in case.

Easter camping tips

We mentioned before about the weather being unpredictable, so do make sure you are prepared. I’m sure you are all familiar with the phrase “April Showers” so you’ll want to pack your waterproofs and wellies just in case.

Keep warm

Although the weather is starting to brighten up and get warmer that doesn’t mean that the evenings and mornings are quite as warm yet. Be sure to pack some extra blankets and jumpers to keep the chill off.

Keeping entertained

If you are planning a family trip there is nothing worse than trying to fight the boredom on a damp and miserable day. Pack things like board games and books to keep the little ones busy.

Do your research

Before you visit, try to do some research. This will help you to determine what to do for the day and go to plan B if your activity requires good weather. By doing so you can switch your itinerary around if need be. Look out for historical sites, pubs and restaurants all of which you can shelter from the rain whilst making the most of your time.
